New Adventures of a Single Woman
16 years ago I became a widow. My husband of 36 years passed away very suddenly. It took a long time to get back on my feet after the loss. I soon learned , however, that life goes on and I would have to rebuild my life as a single woman. So after two months I went back to work as a nurse and began my life alone. It was challenging and discouraging at first as my world revolved around my husband and with out him it was as if the world had stopped. Eventually, I joined a grief support group where I met a few new friends. That morphed into monthly dinners with a small group of like people also suffering through loss. As time went on I met a few women who became my very good friends and we started to begin enjoying life again.
